"It's a great place for some historical vives, it's one of the oldest hotels in Manila"

10.0

This place has significance for many JWs. Hence, you may get more visits from them from around the world: "In 1912, Charles T. Russell, a leading Bible Student—as Jehovah’s Witnesses were formerly known—stopped in Manila on a lecture tour around the world. On January 14, he gave a talk at the Manila Grand Opera House on the subject “Where Are the Dead?” Literature was distributed to those in attendance." The historical aspect of the Hotel, is well recognized, as being one of the oldest hotels in Manila. But is it a good hotel, these points of interest aside? It's good enough in terms of service provided. The room services are prompt and the staff were very courteous. The food quality is great and the Wi-fi is not too slow. The rooms are clean and the safe deposit box are free to use. The complimentary supplies are generous - water, coffee, sugars, toothbrushes, are renewed daily. There is a bell-boy operating the elevator too. Overall, for bed and breakfast, it's value for money. And if you want to eat in, then you can pay reasonable prices. Downside: I got an accidental view of the kitchen; it wasn't a good sight. The cheese case and chocolate cakes were only for display; they are actually unavailable. The swimming pool is small, only for kids really. The windows are small, and it can feel a bit claustrophobic. Aircon is noisy and old. Overall, what a great place to stay in Manila! I will go back again.
