Amazing location with platforms built to let you swim in the gorgeous Mediterranean sea. Lovely staff, great food and attentive service.

Hotel Tamara is big enough to be a hotel but it also has the charm and coziness of a luxury bed and breakfast. The view of the sea and the Meis island is just spectacular. From the operations manager Ms. Nergiz to the waiter Mr Zafer and to the bartender Mr Hasan the hotel staff is was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very large and clean and nicely decorated. There was a few stains on the furniture but that is to be expected at the of the summer season. This is not a 5 star hotel but in many ways it sure feels like it.

I was especially happy with the staff working in the restaurant, salt-water pool, and a very nice garden. The hotel itself had also a very nice view and it was mostly nice and quiet. The cleaning maids did a good job. However, I have some complaints to write down as a bit fussy person. We sent a couple of email to the reception but received no reply, so you may need to chase them a bit more. They could have been more helpful. We have had trouble to connect to wifi whole time we have stayed. The evening meals were salty for us, and the prices were high for the quality. Since the hotel is on the peninsula, there are no other dinner options. You have to go to the town, as we did after the 2nd night. The hotel is located down a steep slope, so the best way to get to town is to take a taxi, which costs 25TL fixed price, fyi. Otherwise, you need to climb the slope to get a minibus. Mind you, I think we were a bit unlucky with our room; the glass on the toilet door was broken, also there was a broken lamp hanging on the wall. The walls were also thin which causes the sounds travelling between rooms. The water pressure was quite low. In addition, we have had water-cut twice in the week. Apart from that, you may also hear a laud bartender everyday while swimming in the pool. If you are not turkish, you are lucky that you will not get those ugly slang words. Overall, it was a nice hotel, but they still have something to do in order to make it better than it is.

Only had a one-night stay in this beautiful hotel which was truly wonderful. Our suite was absolutely fantastic with so much space, 2 balconies and fabulous views. Meals (dinner and breakfast), pools (both sea-water and chlorine), bar, service all excellent. This hotel would have rated 5 for location too but the problem here is the hotel is at the bottom of a very steep road (and I mean very) and once you achieve the entrance level, reception is down 2 flights of stairs (and our room was up three) with no lifts in the hotel. We are fit enough but these things could be a problem for older or infirm people.

This is a very beautiful, small hotel that overlooks the bay near Kas. It has stonework walls, Bougainvillea and overall exceptionally high quality construction. It is located near the end of a peninsula two or three miles out from Kas. The area is mostly private homes and is very quiet. The driveway down from the road is steep and somewhat intimidating. The property has about a dozen rooms. All overlook the bay and a nearby island. It is a great place for sitting on the balcony and watching the boats sail by. There is a lovely patio where the bar is located and meals are served. The staff was pleasant and low key. I would be remiss not to point out that the bar is overpriced and the restaurant experience prohibitively expensive. This is not a big surprise given its remote location and that it is a high end hotel. My wife and I ordered seafood for dinner. There was no upfront price. The waiter asked if we would like a lobster appetizer with it and he brought out a full lobster with lighted sparklers. I had a feeling we were being subjected to a high priced dining experience and cancelled the main course. I am glad we did since the tab only to the appetizers was close to $300. Since we were on a driving tour I felt the hotel was more then we needed as a place to sleep at the end of a day of sight seeing. It would be perfect for a honeymoon or for someone who had more time to enjoy the ambiance and is not concerned about the high priced food service.

The hotel was very quiet when we stayed, felt like a private villa with our own personal staff. Food and drinks were great, staff was friendly and very helpful with suggestions of places to go and things to see. The view from our room was breathtaking. The overall exterior design of the hotel was tasteful traditional med style. Only complaint was the interior design of our room. It was a little strange/conflicting with the rest of the hotel, the rooms were very modern, not what the rest of the hotel feels like. Overall, had a very nice time at this hotel.
