The Hanover Hotel

I was instantly made to feel very welcome. My room was spacious, clean and had everything that i needed as a solo traveller.

I had such a lovely stay there. Everyone was so nice and friendly. The accommodation was very clean and the shower was great. Mike, on reception, was very helpful and Mo, the chef, made a lovely full-English breakfast! I'll definitely go back next time I visit Liverpool!

We stayed at the Hanover Hotel in November for the weekend. The rooms are quite basic but very clean, not too much room to move around, but all you need is to put your head down when you get in. We stayed in room 20, all I can say is there needs to be a mirror next to where the plug socks are, trying to dry and straighten my hair with having no mirror to look in was a bit difficult. The shower isn't very powerful but does the job!. It can be quite noisy throughout the night / early morning but it is right in the centre, which is what we wanted, you just have to put up with the noise. The Full English Breakfast was lovely just enough to start the day... No complaints there :)

When I arrived I had a minor problem finding the front desk (up some stairs and around the corner). I will say that the people from the front desk to the cleaning staff were very helpful. Breakfast I would have liked to have had a menu to choose from, but it was still very good. The room was a little bit of a maze to get to, again when I got the room it was a nice size and the bathroom was also very well laid out. There was a small problem with the TV it was a basic flatscreen tv so I couldn't get subtitles. As for the Biggest surprise was that although it's above a pub the room was very quiet and restful. Overall I would stay again.

The hotel has a good central location and the room was well cleaned. However, this is in the heart of some very noisy bars and even at 5am from inside the room you could hear the thump-thump-thump of meaningless club music. Equally from about 9am there was noise from the bar below. My check in was fine, but I found the door staff when returning at night rude, unwelcoming and needlessly aggressive. I hadn't realised when booking that a breakfast was included. It was OK, nothing to write home about.
