Very peaceful, quiet and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating for luggage storage. I would highly recommend.

It would have been nice to use the bath in the morning. It was so relaxing, we all wanted more.

If you’re an American who just wants a traditional ryokan experience, then you’ve found the place. Tatami mats and paper walls. Shared showers and onsen, but you get your own private half bath in room. The Japanese breakfast is phenomenal. My wife and I both agreed that having breakfast in our room (if you book a room with a breakfast area) was the highlight of our trip to Japan. Incredibly authentic and delicious.

An absolutely amazing 2 night stay at Izuyasu. Beautiful traditional inn, well situated and easy to find. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. We booked dinner at the inn for our final night and would highly recommend this- wonderful food prepared by the owner of the inn. An unforgettable stay and the highlight of our trip to Japan!
