IZUYASU Traditional Kyoto Inn serving Kyoto cuisine

A gem in Kyoto. A short walk from Kyoto station, Kyoto Tower, Higashi Hongan-ji Temple and Shōseien Garden, this place is like stepping back in time to the classical Japan architecture, interiors and culture that drew me to visit. The staff were simply amazing. I stayed in a premium room, which was spacious and had an ensuite 2 piece bathroom. A traditional Japanes breakfast was served in my room. It was delicious and a great way to start each day in Kyoto. If you want an immersive experience of the charm of 19th century Japan, this offers that ambience amd experience.

We absolutely adored Holly who was very kind and willing to answer all questions thoroughly. We had an amazing experience opting in for the chef's dinner. Would recommend this to anyone booking here. You will not regret it.

The beds were slightly too firm.

Die Begrüßung, das Zimmer, das Frühstück, das Personal, das Bad - einfach traumhaft. Wir hatten zwei wundervolle Nächte. Alles ist durchdacht und einfach schön. Wenn Geld keine Rolle spielen würde, würden wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen

Wenn man überhaupt etwas finden möchte, dann vielleicht, dass alles an Handtüchern, Badeequipement sowie Plüschschlappen ausgetauscht wurde, obwohl das absolut nicht nötig gewesen wäre. Das ist zwar nicht zu unserem schaden, die Ressourcen hätte man aber sparen können.

The property was beautifully maintained, the staff were kind, and the dinner prepared by the owner and chef was among the best food we’ve ever had. When any family or friends ask us about our trip to Japan, our stay at Izuyasu will be the first thing we mention.
