We were treated into a bit of history of this ryokan, through the traditional Kyoto food of his owner/chef and tales of his family who have been running the establishment for seven generations

Authentic japanese ryokan experience. Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Great dinner experience with local menu prepared by the ryokan owner himself

Some may find lack of personal bath uncomfortable. Beds (futons) are very firm

We had a wonderful stay! Staff was so attentive. The onsen baths are private and they will reserve them for you, as a part of your stay cost. Such a wonderful way to unwind at the end of the day!

"We had an interesting and relaxing stay in this traditional Ryokan and were well looked after."

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They anticipated our needs and were very helpful . The Kaiseki meal was delicious and it was lovely to hear the history of the Ryokan from the proprietor who was also very warm and welcoming. The rooms were very comfort and everything was clean and beautifully furnished.
