The Talbot Hotel

The room was clean and tidy but very bijou. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was noise from the pub downstairs. Around 4:30am, the rubbish collection truck was on the street with its “disco lights” that woke us. This wasn’t the fault of The Talbot, but it was annoying.

We love The Talbot our favourite Hotel. Lovely atmosphere. Manager and staff are very welcoming.

Classic style great breakfast

Bar staff were great and the Breakfast chef was excellent customer service! The Breakfast was a real surprise top ingredients everything you could ask for! Would definitely recommend and will be back.

Just some of the carpets specially on stairs very tired could do with replacing. But that’s just being fussy.

The staff at the talbot were so friendly and helpful and we had the best stay there. The bedroom was warm and comfortable with a walk in shower. Breakfast next day was fantastic, could of had any of the cereals/yoghurts/toast and coffee available then then a full cooked breakfast. The pub on the evening was great, drinks and food were cheap, staff was brilliant and kept us entertained and even the locals on the evening were a laugh. Special thanks to Ben on the evening and his mum (mrs jack of all trades!) the next day, also not forgetting the owner (the great chef!) as all are so lovely! We will 100% return.. just to visit the pub as we really did enjoy our stay!

Could do with another bannister for the staircase for people less mobile if possible, however we did managed.

Great welcome, room spotless, warm and comfortable. Breakfast all we could ask for. Staff friendly and more than helpful. Would stay again if passing through.

Nothing really

Comfortable rooms and very friendly staff who went out of their way to give us late check out for the wedding we were attending, late breakfast and helped hunt around for an iron to iron our shirts.
