The hosts are lovely people, the accommodations were great. The beds we clean and cozy. The breakfast was delicious. I left a piece of jewelry there and the owner contacted me before I even knew it was missing - very honest people. Highly recommended

Had a great stay staff were so helpfull if you like walking this is the place to be close to city walls two gates close .to guesthouse old York shambles etc very close and the breakfast to die for will be back next time we are in york

Local eateries and more on a close walk to the city centre. Staff provide you with a map highlighting areas of interest and bus stop outside. Room was cosy, staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was always done well to request. En suite felt very small and a bit dated (no port in wall to charge toothbrush, tiny sink). There was times we could hear people moving around or flushing their toilets but it wasn't always noticeable.

Really enjoyed my stay at the guest house, the only negative I have is the breakfast timings are short and early especially at weekends, 8.30-9.15. Meant early rises at the Weekend.

Lovely cosy guest house with a friendly welcoming and good breakfast. Great location as it is just a 10 minute walk from York town centre.

Not the best for the price breakfast was ok had to be ordered night before. Felt harassed by phone calls to arrive to hotels schedule. No staff on hand apart from arrival and breakfast. Shower in room didn't work so had to go without. Personally we won't be returning felt more like an inconvenience than a customer

We had a very relaxing stay at Crossways. The owner welcomed usipon arrival and provided us with lots of information and recommended a amazing restaurant.

Limited check in window. Breakfast supplied is good but not as comprehensive as other bed and breakfasts experienced in the UK. Great location close to the city centre. Check out is early at 10am. Clean but small bathroom.

not an easy walk from city center. odd shaped room=too warm for us but host found a small fan. Walking distance to Royal Botanical Gardens. GOOD POINT:if you're on a budget u have access to kitchenette and there's a very good TESCO nearby. bathroom very small. Breakfast room in the basement - very good English breakfast before we left. About 1 block for bus stop
