"Super, small hotel that is worth a stay"

Our 4 night stay was super-friendly staff, good food. The complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely touch. Our 2nd time stay here. This boutique hotel ticks the boxes for us-away from crowds-quiet but close to decent restaurants on Thesen island. Saving any uber/taxis requirements is a bonus. Our room was the top one, large and comfortable bed. The bar staff looked after us-great cocktails. Worth a visit for a quiet, relaxing stay.

"Beyond superb!!!"

A most beautifully converted power station. This sounds uncomfortable but the opposite was true. Lush settees and armchairs, beautiful upholstery and artwork. Fantastic food!!!!

"Excellent stay in Knysna"

Had an unscheduled stay in this very pleasant town. Locals recommended I try the Turbine and I'm glad I did. I had an excellent stay. Particularly enjoyed the food. The chef's menu is a creative break from the traditional South African fare.

"Nicely located hotel"

The Turbine hotel was located near the boat tours, restaurants and shopping and had a nice deck outside for eating and drinking at the Gastro Pub. Breakfast was delicious with many options and the service in the restaurant was excellent. My only complaints are that there were no elevators, and our room was on the second floor and the room was on the smaller side. My husband has a lung condition as well as rheumatoid arthritis, and the stairs were difficult for him. The lack of a comfortable seating area in the room was also difficult for him. If you are young and healthy you should have no concerns.

"Fantastic, memorable, special"

We visited the Turbine to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. They made it so personal and special. Handwritten card to congratulate us, a bottle of bubbly, a beautiful room and very friendly staff all wishing us on arrival. The location of the hotel is superb, close to the waterfront, next to amazing restaurants. Beautiful room, very comfortable. We stayed in the Oyster Suite.
