All children aged 2 years and younger stay free of charge if parents supply bedding or cots. The property provides cots/cribs. However, there is a limited number and guests may have to provide their own. All children aged between 3 to 6 years are charged GBP 12.50 per person per night when using existing beds. Children aged 7 years and above and adults are charged GBP 25 per person. Pets are allowed on request. Please check with the property in advance, as some rooms are not suitable for pets. An extra fee of GBP 20 per day applies for each pet. A deposit may be required at the property.

My wife booked the place for me and it was a great choice. It is a traditional, original (not a chain), comfortable, quiet and reasonably priced small hotel. My room was spacious with a perfect ensuite bathroom (large shower). The manager was welcoming and helpful. What is not to like!

Excellent location, a very comfortable room with great facilities.

Just small things but there was only one cup in the kitchen, so we had to drink our beverages one after the other and there was no tea towel to wipe up. The lighting in the bathroom and on the mirror was not bright enough to apply make up and there was no mirror near a plug socket in the bedroom/kitchen I could use to sit and style my hair and apply make up before going out. I always take a mirror with me, as it’s a common problem in hotels, but it could be made more convenient with simple changes.

Good location for what we wanted

Poor service for TV. TV kept losing signal. Unable to watch any programmes as they were constantly freezing. Breakfast pot was cold
