Perfect getaway for small family. Nice layout.

Called to ask if we could store our luggage until checkin time was asked how we booked then told off for not booking direct and via a third party amongst other complaints about not booking direct with them then told too busy and nowhere to store luggage despite website stating can store luggage. Not off to a great start! Arrived at 1.45pm, reception unattended, rang the number was told he’d come but would be 15min away and room not ready til 2.30pm as they’ve been very busy and room was still being cleaned as previous occupants messy. This time though they stored our luggage in our room. Two bedroom apartment with kitchen - floors were clean, stains on both couches, paint peeling from ceiling in bedroom (see photo) kitchen benches still dirty, cooktop burnt, bare minimum with crockery and cooking utensils. Bathroom ok (if you’re ok with shower curtains!) blinds faulty and didn’t close properly in lounge. Beds soft, pillows were thin and ineffective. Has a small pool, we didn’t use it. Parking spaces available for car if needed, gate closed overnight so secure. Location: close to esplanade but a decent walk to get to shops and cafes

It was a place to sleep, the beds had clean sheets, there was a safe parking spot for the car. As for the rest, the place is really run down, When we came in 1st time I had to sweep the floors and got rid of a heap of dust and dirt, there was a half empty coke can at the entrance, the floors had some sticky substance which we washed off. There was not a single clean plate, glass, cup etc. Had to was all the cutlery before use, not enough plates/cutlery/utensils to serve even 3 people. The place had a really bad smell, we had to buy deodorants to get it to an ok level. Shower curtain was filthy, all the walls looks like they haven’t been painted since the place was built, some of the ceilings look like it could either be filthy/ have water stains, kitchen counter is burnt and needs replacement, pots and pans need to be replaced, tiles cracked throughout the place, blinds need to be replaced. Hood top was disgustingly dirty. Doors and walls had heaps of gapes, scrapes, screw holes. Walls next to table had some yellow liquid spill never cleaned off. Brown substance (probably poop) on the wall behind the toilet paper roll on wall. Tumble dryer only works on 1 setting, wifi was patchy.

Nobody Manning reception. Even though it was advertised there would be someone there till 6pm. Arrived at 5:45 and no one there Booked & paid for a ground floor apartment. (Due to having an injured knee) Got a 2nd floor apartment. Had to walk up and down 2 flights of stairs. . There was a smell that made me feel ill upon entry. Very small patio. Wasps nest on the roof outside on the patio Asked if I could please have a ground floor due to my knee.. but allegedly, nothing was available nor to be available in the week I had booked... Over all, not great for the price they are charging. Ended up booking another apartment elsewhere and staying there.

Was close proximity to the shops, restaurants and the beach. The two bedroom apartment we stayed was immaculate and very cosy. The kids loved the pool and the owners were lovely and welcoming. Will definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting Port Douglas. Kiangali family Cairns

The location was the only good thing about this place.

There were no signs in the carpark regarding uneven ground, and I had a serious fall that is causing issues 2 weeks later. The kettle didn't work, and there was only 1 blanket for 3 beds. We moved the single beds to reformat the room to find dust under the beds. Bad aged mattresses. And the balcony floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. Stains on the lounge, cheap mismatched kitchen ware. And all the lamps and chairs were dusty perhaps ignored for cleaning. Bad hospitality. When I called to advise the kettle problem and the lack of blankets the guy Wayne's response was "well what do you want me to.do about it?" Dismal. We wanted a refund or discount but they wouldn't play. When my cousin reported my fall whole I was at the hospital, telling them I was moving to alternative accommodation to be with the rest of our crew so they could help me as my foot was broken they adjusted and refunded a night in 5 minutes. Probably in fear that I am going to sue them... which I'm looking into.

The location is great, close to the airport and easy walking distance to the Esplanade. The appartment was clean and well kept, it was certainly good value for money and we would go there again.

Parking was sometimes difficult because the parking spaces don't (or no longer) fit the size of the vehicles parking in them, one night I gave up and just left the car parked on the road outside. One of the permanent residents smokes (and of course coughs) constantly on her balcony on the floor below and the smoke drifted upwards into unit 4, where we were staying. This is something I will never understand: smokers don't want their smoke in their own appartment but are happy to let everybody else have it in other appartments.
