Wind-Rose Guest House

The property was away from the hustle and bustle of town but accessible to all areas close by. A fantastic place to relax and recharge. The unit was fully equipped and our hosts were great and gave us a full tour on arrival and explained everything. Breakfast was excellent a full choice of juice, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast & preserves and cooked selections.

Nothing we enjoyed our stay and would stay again for sure.

Super nette Gastgeber. Wir durften bei der Ankunft zwischen zwei Zimmern wählen. Sehr zentral gelegen und dennoch sehr ruhig und sicher. Leckeres Frühstück. Es fehlte an nichts.

Man hat absolut seine Privatsphäre. Es ist durch den Wind besonders angenehm am Pool . Frühstück ist super gut und die Eigentümer sind jederzeit erreichbar , falls es Problem geben sollte. Ich kann es nur empfehlen !

Harry and his wife run and own the property and they are great. They came out to great us immediately upon arrival in the parking lot, to shake our hands, help us with the bags and show us to our room. They already knew my name. No other bnb or hotel has done this on our entire 2 weeks in South Africa. Harry was very helpful showing us all around the property and answering any questions we had. The building is beautiful with spacious rooms, a beautiful outdoor space and stunning mountain views. There is also a nice sunny pool area with a lovely seating area around it and a spot where you can grill. Our room was very big, with a nice bed, its own sofa, a large bathroom, shower and bath, ample windows and lighting, high ceilings, and its own balcony. If you want to stay in this area I would recommend this lodge. Although we had to cut our stay short, Harry was very understanding and kind to us, we felt very valued as guests on a personal level and he couldn’t have done more for us. Thank you Harry!!

I liked everything about this lodge and the owners, but personally, Gordon’s Bay and the area back towards the guesthouse was not my favorite area that we visited in the Western Cape. From my personal experience, I didn’t find Gordons Bay to be great in terms of the feel, the safety, the beaches, the bar/restaurants or cleanliness.

Es ist eine wunderschöne Unterkunft! Wir waren bereits mehrmals hier und können es nur empfehlen! Nette Gastgeber und die Zimmer und die Umgebung sind wunderschön! Die Lage ist ebenfalls Top, wir haben und jederzeit wie zu Hause gefühlt. Schöne Anlage und alles ist sehr gepflegt und sauber.

There was a terrible sound coming from the plumbing, even during the night. Location, far from Gordon's Bay central.

It's a beautiful quiet property and it's beautifully maintained. We spent a lot of time relaxing around the pool and enjoying the view of the beautiful mountains.
