Holden Manz Country House

It is wonderfully quiet, with a lovely atmosphere. The artwork throughout the Country House is impressive .

Our first room had no hot water and unfortunately we only discovered that when we had already unpacked and settled in. As it was Christmas Day, the repair could not be immediate so had to repack and move all our stuff to the room next door. This was a bigger room but with very little closet space however. The shower had moldy floor tiles and walls and really needs to be upgraded. Generally speaking, the room also does need some attention. Some lights don’t work either. On returning from our Christmas lunch, the air conditioner had leaked and saturated the head board and the upper part of the bed linen. Fortunately a repair man did come and sort it out, but it was evident that the air conditioner had not been serviced in a while. The condensation pipe was blocked and the filters were not clean. So again, we had to move the bed away from them the wall and the replacement bed linen did not fit the bed. The sheets and duvet cover were far too small.

Stunning views. Great location. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. We were made to feel so welcome by all of the Holden Manz family. They have delicious wines and we thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting experience. Would totally recommend staying here.

We cannot remember having such a pleasant and relaxing break in such beautiful surroundings plus the staff were attentive, kind and professional. An excellent base for exploring the area and they also produce some excellent wines in their own vineyard.

Safety and Security, one of our rooms was robbed. No help was offered to help replace a lost passport - nothing at all. The staff didn't go out of their way to help us
