Hotel Santika Bogor

This was a strictly Halal hotel which did not fit in with my requirements. The Mosque was a few metres from my bedroom and so sleep was not possible

Feable wifi. Thin walls! We can literally hear side and upper floor neighbors. Dirty pool. Faded towels.

My wife and I had no plan. It was a long weekend, we decided on Bogor last minute, and somehow ended up wandering through Botanic Mall when we noticed the hotel right next door. On a whim, we walked in to check it out. Fully booked, the front desk said. Only one room remaining — the Presidential Suite, offered at a discount. We exchanged a glance, smiled, and said yes. Best spontaneous decision we’ve made in a while. The suite itself was everything you’d hope for — fresh, modern furnishings, a spacious and well-appointed bathroom, and a bed that actually lets you sleep. The 10th floor location was a quiet retreat from the city buzz below, with a view that made waking up feel worthwhile. What truly elevates this hotel, though, is where it sits. The Bogor Botanical Garden is right at your doorstep — and if you haven’t been, stop what you’re doing and go. One of Indonesia’s great treasures. Botanic Mall is next door for dining and convenience. And when the weekend ends, the toll road back to Jakarta is literally just around the corner. You couldn’t ask for a better-positioned base in Bogor. A heartfelt thank you to Hengki at the front desk. Warm, professional, and the kind of hospitality that makes a stay memorable. Highly recommended — sometimes the best experiences are the ones you never planned for.

Our golfer group of eight chose this hotel as it is conveienient for our three golf games in Bogor before leaving for Jakarta for our next two golf games in a 4N/5D itinery. The basement level connects to a good shopping mall. The breakfast offering is comprehensive but not international. Breakfast begin at 6am but the outlet is ready before 6am. Bogor is an attractive destination for both local and international travellers. This hotel is our golf group choice for our golf tour in Bogor.
