"mooi hotel naast het oude centrum van Villa Real "

mooi hotel met gratis parkeren in de parkeergarage onder het hotel. We zijn zeer vriendelijk ontvangen door de receptie waar goed Engels werd gesproken. Restaurant hotel was gesloten. Vanuit het hotel loop je zo het oude centrum in waar er terrasjes en veel goede en goedkope restaurantjes zijn. Ook oude kerkjes in het centrum; een museum en dichtbij in het dorp Mateus het bezoekwaardige landgoed/museum waar de Mateus rose wordt gemaakt. In het hotel een mooie kamer, schoon, met balkon met uitzicht over de kloof waarin de Corgo rivier loopt. Er is een wandelpad op houten bruggetjes door de kloof. We hadden een wat hard bed; mar wel met een goed en stevig kussen. Sanitair prima. Ontbijtbuffet was ook prima en uitgebreid. Het hotel heeft een groot binnen zwembad met twee baden; het water in het grote bad was wat koud; het kleinere bad was wel verwarmd en lekker om in te zwemmen.

Friendly staff at front of the house. It is a vintage hotel, not many gadgets and very simple, despite the huge bed. Due to work related had to extend my stay 1 more night, however bugs coming out from tub water dranage.... little unsatisfying
