Personnel is very friendly and willing to help. It is close to the city centre and you can order food that will be delivered at the front desk!

I asked for an early breakfast at 5:30, they agreed to give me something to eat. In the morning nobody knew of my request even though the person at the front desk left a written note at my arrival. Most of the personnel barely speak English. Given the early start, I asked in advance if it was possible to have a taxi and they said that I have to reserve myself. I suggest you to don’t even try if you do not speak Chinese ; ) I totally understand that in China they have different standard compared to Europe but I also believe that my request were quite basics for a 5 stars hotel.

This hotel can be reached via Chengdu Metro Line 2, Exit C of Dongmen Bridge station. It is right in front of the exit, making travel using public transport very convenient. In case you read any earlier review about the lack of airconditioner in this hotel, be assured there is. Buffet breakfast consists of a good spread of Chinese and Western menu. The hotel staff also responded and resolved very quickly to issues we encountered.

The hotel's location is ideal, with a subway station conveniently situated right in front of the building. Guests can easily access public transportation to explore the city.

Lobby bar needs more choices in beverages. Restaurant menu also needs more choices in Suchuan cuisine.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Chengdu and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel is comfortable, affordable, clean, and quiet, making it an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers. One of the standout features of this hotel is its strategic location. Situated right in the city center, it's conveniently close to numerous food and drink shops, offering a wide variety of dining options within walking distance. This made it incredibly easy to explore the local cuisine and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Chengdu. The rooms are well-maintained and provide a restful environment after a long day of sightseeing or work. Despite being centrally located, the hotel manages to maintain a peaceful ambiance, ensuring a good night's sleep. However, there was a minor inconvenience during our stay. Upon arrival, no staff member came to assist with our luggage. While this did not significantly impact our overall experience, it was a small letdown in terms of service. In summary, Holiday Inn Chengdu offers a comfortable and clean stay at an affordable price, with an unbeatable location in the heart of the city. Just be prepared to handle your own luggage upon arrival.
