Lovely location, staff were super friendly and the food is generally very good

All in all for the money it is pretty poorly maintained. Good IG photos, but during our stay the electricity tripped twice leaving us without power, the front door broke leaving the room unsecured. The whole place looks nice on the surface but is very jaded and falling apart when you look closely. As such it all feels very expensive for what you get.

Almost nill Vegetarian options. No effort made to accomidate or create vegetarian requests for food either at the break fast, Lunch or Dinner. Even when at the restaurants when i choose the one or two existing vegetarian option the food is stale and smells and not fresh. Not for human consumption and surely unhealthy

I booked a 2 bed Room Hill Top villa for four but accommodates more than four. I had a child who is 16 year old hence i was asked to pay extra 100SGD for the 5th person and they would not assign me a villa before i paid. Which i did right away as they promised me an extra bed for that price. Once i reached the room and in the next 3 hours i was in the villa but no extra bed and blanket etc expected for the 5th person. I went to the bar at the pool at 6 PM and back to the villa at 10 or 11 Pm and no bed or blanket for the 5th person. I tried calling the housekeeping but no avail. Next day at the check out time i asked them to return the money as i did not get the promised bed. They made me wait for 30 mins and made many calls to their so called managers hoping that i will just leave as my private driver was waiting as i needed to catch a return ferry. When i starting chasing them then they came to me and said i still need to pay 30 SGD for the extra 5th person. I said i am ok with that. However, they then wanted me to provide them the details for my credit card so they can return the rest 70 SGD. When i highlighted to them they should have the details of my card as i paid them with a card they checked and agreed and confirmed with me. They tell told me they will return the money to my credit card later as they cant do it right away and promised to send me and email once they return the money. I have not received any email or the money from Montigo Resorts till now and i am still awaiting their response or message on the topic.

A bit rundown and now well maintained

The friendliest staffs ever! All of them! It's so relaxing for us when we go there. Three days is not enough!!

The swimming pool need to upgrade and mantain the tiles etc.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, Facilities is great.

Water pressure is very low when taking shower and also on the tap.
