Crown Lodge Guest House

The location of the hotel isn't necessarily in the nicest of areas however the hotel is very clean and well kept, with very friendly and attentive staff. Unfortunately my sleep was continually interrupted by an electrical buzzing noise coming from the ceiling. The staff said they would look into this in the morning ahead of further stays. I would stay here again although hopefully in a different room for the night.

The room was very comfortable and clean, and staff were friendly and professional. Buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing though. Overall, it was good value for money.

Perfect base for a one night stay in Reading. 15 mins walk from the train station, short walk from various food outlets and just down the road form one of the finest real ale pubs I've been in (Nags Head). Clean and comfortable, helpful owners.

The hotel is located near a mosque and is well supplied with nearby takeaway and fruit shops. It is about 10 minutes away from the main train station. The host was very welcoming and accomodating. Our room on the ground floor was spacious, although a bit dated and you could hear every step in the corridor - so I would not recommend a romantic break there. Our shower was tiny and the flush button on the toilet was broken. But otherwise a good stay overall.

Very comfortable stay at the Guest House, I was staying on my own and they made me feel welcome and perfectly safe.

Following a recent one night stay at this hotel, i can confidently say that i was pleasantly satisfied with the service and condition of the place. The location was good: easy to find, not too far from the motorway and a convenient distance from amenities, town, and the venue which we were attending. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and were more than happy to help when we needed directions. We had originally booked a quad room but that was changed to two doubles as another guest had extended, however this was not an inconvenience. Both rooms were comfortable and clean, the beds were well made, the temperature was ambient and the decor was pleasant. The bathrooms were small but this was of no concern to me or my friends. The showers were lovely! The only issue that we found was that the surrounding area felt a bit intimidating, however we are small town country girls so it should have been expected! Overall a highly satisfactory stay.
