Marina Sands Art Hotel

Wrong room wasn't what I asked for as special occasion , receptionist rude said we didn't pay much gave are room to someone who payed more and staying longer . Only 10sunbeds around pool area impossible to lie on one .Our room also smelt damp .

Vi var tre jenter som delte et rom. Oppholdet var veldig vellykket, vi er kjempe fornøyde med hotellet og kan anbefale det videre. Det er litt kjedelig at det koster så mye ekstra for air condition (noe som bør nevnes når man bestiller på forhånd). Ellers; god mat, bra service og perfekt beliggenhet.

Veldig fint hotellområde. Litt minus på rommene, litt slitt. Men fin uteplass. Hotellet har fint bassengområde og ligger helt med stranden.

Room 63 which was facing a busy road with view of carpark & electric pylons in the main part of the hotel.The room was small & dated with old style TV,3/4 size bath tub with nowhere to hang the shower,2 single beds & small balcony. Could not have patio doors open because of the road noise & the room temperature was stifling (early Sept). We went back downstairs to reception & said we were not happy with our room &asked to be moved. Were told to come back to speak to manager in the morning, as the hotel was fully booked. Had no option but to pay 8€ for air con per night.Next morning spoke to manager who said we could change to Room 20 after lunch when others checked out. Rm 20 was floor level,in garden part of hotel. A different world!Lg room with 2 singles &sofa bed,flat screen tv,radio, b/side lamps, 2 phones, patio doors leading to good size private patio. It made a huge difference.B/fast was ample,continental.Hotel 10 mins walk to Platanias with plenty of shops/bars/restaurants.There is a s/market right opp. hotel.Free Wifi in lobby area only.Lovely gardens&pool area leading straight onto beach. The beach in front of the hotel has rocks, but walk 500yds to the right of hotel, it's much easier to get into water. There are much nicer beaches on the island if you have car. Staff all friendly& helpful. Negatives: lack of sunbeds around the pool, about 15 with potentially 150 guests was completely inadequate.We also thought the 8€charge per day for aircon was too steep.

Excellent Hotel location and close to sea. Staff were very helpful, Especially Efi and Katrina behind the desk. Facilities are basic but typical of Greek Hotel.I could not fault room and cleanliness of room. Only one concern: Hotel Management need to sort out Beach bar as it opens at erratic times and doesn't provide much in the way of snacks etc.

Very disappointed with room allocated as not the same as photos. Asked at reception and got reply of 'you have double room with sea view that is what you booked' he also said that was one of the older rooms but cost the same as the refurbished rooms. I thought that booking with expedia this wouldn't have happened. No hairdryer, very small.

Very pleasant, nice garden, nice beach, good location

They "didn't have my booking information", even though I booked and confirmed 3 months in advance. Due to this, they sent me to stay at another hotel nearby the first of my 4 nights that I was planning on spending there. Terrible. Staff had attitude. And what the hell kind of a hotel charges €8 a night for air condition. Worst experience ever. Never going there again.

What a lovely little place to stay. Hotel was spotless and rooms were spacious and had a fridge. Little patio with tables and chairs looking onto lovely borders with flowers and claiming rose bushes etc. There are no hair dryers in the rooms even though advertised. Air con was extra €8 per day, well worth it as rooms were hot and there was a bit of road noise which was drowned out. Breakfast was not the best just usual continental and tinned fruit cocktail or peaches. The waiter was really grumpy and I never saw him smile once- he then turns into the bar man at pool. The reception staff especially Efie were soooooooh helpful. There are only about 15 sun beds ( free) around the lovely pool and we could never get one due to the towel brigade. Shocking. This meant we had to pay for the hotels sun beds on the beach not really a problem but just so annoying. The bar area could have tables and chairs reduced by half and more sun beds put out. These were only minor problems we really did have a fabulous time here and would certainly book this hotel again.

Hotel staff were nice, except for the two young men who were working when we arrived. They have us a room for 2 people, we had 3. This required hauling our luggage up a flight of stairs, then back down when we discovered it was the wrong room. 2nd room they gave us smelled like paint or some sort of fumes, very overpowering. Room was hot. Toilet seat broken. They gave us a 3rd room, along with some attitude. Day shift desk clerk was extremely helpful and kind. Breakfast was adequate, not a lot of stuff but enough to get your fill. Staff kept area cleaned away nicely; and food filled up.
