Everything. Close to city. The accommodation was top class and value for money. The rooms were large and had every appliance one needs when away from home. The decor had a Japanese touch with lot bling. The surrounding buildings and gardens attached to the property were heritage and beautiful.

Absolutely nothing.

Loved the breakfast! So glad we included it in our booking. We mainly interacted with Kayze who helped us with breakfast and our early check-in and she was wonderful. Really charmed my mum! But my parents also chatted with the gardener and just had a really lovely time. The property was beautiful, the views were fantastic, and the house we stayed in was spacious, modern, and well equipped. Location was also fab - we were central to everything.

There's not much we didn't like but if we had to say anything, there was no shampoo, body wash or conditioner (it looked broken actually) in the top floor/third bedroom shower. It was quickly remedied when we told Kayze who provided alternatives for us. Also, there was a light in that top bedroom that looked broken with the wires loose - we couldn't figure it out and even when the switches were off, it would randomly blink during the night so it was a bit unsettling. But not a huge issue. Would definitely stay here again and refer it to others!

Breakfast was amazing

The garden, outlook, location and kitchen appliances. Creative and unusual decor.

The hill was a bit hilly! Not easy to get into town if you didn’t have a car. The decor was very imaginative and quite bold but was beginning to show a bit of wear and tear around the edges. Not really a problem .

The apartment was beautifully designed with all amenities. Very comfortable. Great location. The breakfast menu included many options and food was simply scrumptious. We are definitely coming back again.

The 2 bedroom apartment was very clean and comfortable for our family of 4. It allowed for my partner and I to have one room and our kids to share the other, with the luxury of ensuite bathrooms in both rooms, as well as a powder room in the main corridor. The gardens out the back were also beautiful to have a wander through. The location is great and the surrounding neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful.

My only criticism of the property is that we were not told upon booking or after, that the spa bath within the apartment was not functional. We attempted to use it when there and when it didn't work, we inquired with the owners, and only then, were told that it did not work. We were a bit disappointed, as we were looking forward to a lovely spa bath after a day of sight seeing. The owners were nice enough to offer us a free bottle of wine to apologise, though. My only advice to people booking in hopes of using the spa bath, would be to check if it's fixed before their stay. Other than this, it was a lovely place to stay and would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

The location (Glebe was perfect for a quiet long weekend getaway to Hobart), the coziness of the pavillion, the intimacy of the gardens and the shared communal spaces in the main house, Vivian was also very lovely! She was very welcoming and warm during our arrival. The pavillion had everything we needed - we initially planned to cook one night to take advantage of the kitchen but found the food offerings in Hobart to good to ignore even for just one homecooked meal. We especially liked having tea or coffee in the private balcony overlooking the garden during our downtime, as well as lounging in the living room with the fire on while ambient cafe music played softly from the TV. The immediate walk around the boutique hotel was also stunning - we enjoyed passing by all the beautiful houses as we walked towards downtown Hobart or back to our hotel. Especially memorable was the walk down Scots street where an arresting view of Hobart's hills and houses would greet you.

The only thing I can think of is that the water that pools on the floor in the shower cubicle doesn't drain fast enough, leading to the occasional leakage under the cubicle door. It did not significantly impact our experience of the pavillion though - overall my partner and I were very happy with our stay.
