I stayed here for my 5-year anniversary, just two days after proposing, and was genuinely heartbroken by how misleading and disappointing this experience was. The main reason we booked was for the advertised alpaca experience, yet every single alpaca on the property had been freshly shaved. The entire attraction was gone. They even sell alpaca toys in reception made from the fleece, which feels both unethical and deceptive, especially since their photos and marketing show fluffy alpacas as the highlight. This is a clear case of false and misleading advertising under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). To make matters worse, the TV didn’t work, there was no on-site service, and the so-called “limited Wi-Fi” was capped at 150MB. Barely enough for two photos, before being forced to pay an extra $20 for only 5GB. That’s not “limited,” that’s predatory pricing and unfair conduct. The room itself was unclean, with visible dirt and poor maintenance. When I moved the bedside drawer, I found dead bugs and built-up dirt behind it, a clear sign the room hadn’t been cleaned properly in a long time. Completely below acceptable quality as required by the Fair Trading Act 1987 (NSW). This experience ruined what should have been a special celebration and constitutes a serious breach of consumer guarantees. Especially as they did not to offer any compensation for the TV not working, Wifi situation as well as all the alpacas being completely shaved. Deeply disappointed. Would not recommend until the business takes accountability and complies with basic consumer obligations.
