Benbow Historic Inn

rooms are small , the furniture wa dirty. the shower is in the bedroom. no elevators or help for the ellderly. have to walk up a steep hill to get in the front door. Meals overpriced.

The room was very grand and was in the middle of a beautiful setting. The whole property was stunning inside and out

It was a beautiful place but there was no TV in our room. No refrigerator. Very small. We had no choice of pillows. We need flat pillows. All we had were very plump ones which caused neck aches and not a good sleep.

Benbow Inn is certainly charming. But the rooms need to be upgraded. The AC was very loud and we had to run it all night to keep the room at a habitable temperature. Other than that, it was nice.

We checked into the Benbow during our Astoria, OR to San Francisco, CA road trip. We stayed just one night, as we wanted to be close to the avenue of giants, so we could see the trees with various lighting. The hotel is in remarkable shape - especially considering it’s nearly 100 years old. Our room was clean and most importantly, cool. The grounds were so tranquil, sitting on the patio off our room was a nice way to unwind. If you’re going to see the magnificent avenue of giants, this is the place to stay!!

Historic property. Bedsheets were clean. Complimentary sherry.

It was run down (for examples carpets). Had a “grandma” feel to it in terms of the decor. A few minutes after entering my room I noticed it didn’t have a TV. I wondered if this was part of the “historic” nature of the property so I asked the front desk whether any rooms have TVs. She answered “Oh you want a TV?” I would have thought that this is fairly standard these days. Especially for almost $300 a night. That being said she very nicely “upgraded” me to a room with a TV without additional charge.

Restaurant prices were ridiculous.

A beautiful historic Inn with memorabilia that brings back the era of grand old homes and genteel families. Gorgeous furniture, wonderful staff, courteous and friendly service.

Beautiful hotel and great restaurant for dinner and breakfast!!! Beds were so comfy. Make sure to get a big room. They are so nice especially in the new area of the hotel with more modern furniture and bathrooms
