Bohol Sea Resort

A very relaxing experience. Someone thought about this resort before it was built. It's complete, not added to later.

Immaculately clean, well organised hotel. Great pool area and really enjoyed the daily happy hour as opportunity to meet others. Food freshly prepared was very good. Quiet hotel but only P100 from Alona Beach. Our stay was too short - we will be back.

The staff were amazing. Very pleasant surroundings The pool was kept clean, I mean all day. The pool attendant was always there.The food was cooked to your choice, and what time you would like to eat. If you would like to go to Alona beach, you could rent a motorbike, for 10 dollars a day. Or just walk up to the end of the resort and pay 40 pesos, which is just about one dollar. to get a ride on a motorbike to town. It was so quiet and pleasant,

A small (about 20 rooms) quiet, clean, well-managed, beautifully-landscaped, and restful resort. About 2km from Alona Beach which is a noisy, over-developed strip with lots of bars & shops. We took the 20 min walk along the road to Alona (not possible by beach as there is jungle between!). Return journey by tricycle after buying a few things in the local mini-store. Apart from a day-long tour of Bohol (arranged by hotel) we stayed put enjoying the beautiful environment in the resort. Everything is close by and the open-sided restaurant is the focal point and meeting place. We sat in the soft chairs there when it was raining (quite often, but still nice and warm). The beach is kept clean in front of the resort but a bit messy to either side. You can find some nice shells among the seaweed and fishing boats, as local kids frolic in the water. Diving school on site but we just tried snorkelling around the coral outcrops in the shallow waters close by - saw some great marine life without getting out of our depth! Restaurant has extensive dinner menu, including some veggie options, tho we were asked to order early as everything is cooked from fresh. Hanshee, the German manager is omnipresent and sorts out all problems quickly and in English! Happy hour is 5-7 with all local beers and cocktail of the day half price. We met some other European couples over drinks and the pool table. The grounds are beautiful and all this within 30 mins of Tagbilaran airport.

The description doesn't match reality of the hotel. We aborted our stay and found other accommodations

I am a frequent Hotels.com traveller and this hotel represented the most deceptive write up that I have found. We stayed 1 night and left with the proprietor informing us that the only way to receive a refund for an 11 day stay (even though advanced cancelation was indicated) was through Hotels.com. To date, no response from them either.

Food was awesome. Excellent quality and quantity for the price. Not cheap but home cooking. Rooms was well maintained, could use a ceiling fan and maybe a table and chairs but otherwise perfect. Grounds were meticulously maintained. I see lots of complaints about the dirt road to the hotel and being far away from Alona. Call a trike and you are there in a few minutes. Even the walk is not that long. Remember folks you are going to the Philippines and it is not going to look like vegas. The staff was excellent, super helpful and very knowledgable, as well as the owner. it is not a party resort but a place to get away and enjoy some quiet time. If you want to party walk down the road to Alona. I will be back for sure to enjoy some of the famous diving. Got certified while I was there, now I need to come back to enjoy more of the beauty.

Friendly and accommodating owner and staff, good food, good atmosphere, and comfortable surroundings, make it easy for me to recommend this resort as a perfect place to stay to explore everything that Bohol has to offer.

The place is not beach resort however they do have well maintained clean beach. If you are looking for the beach, you need to go next door. It is mostly for scuba diving and any other diving related activities. They have a great scuba school and their dive master to take you many places. The water is so clean and visibility is very high. The food at restaurant is excellent of local and Western cuisine. And price is very reasonable. How good they are, I usually don't like to stay hotels where they offer free breakfast. Because they don't offer quality breakfast. So that is exactly what I did this but I ended up eating here every morning, what is so good ...I will give you one of the best preview...Bread, yes, Bread ...fresh and warm bread. They give you several kinds, they all so good. You almost feel that all you need ...The place is beautiful, the owner's wife take care of landscape and it shows ...it shows her personal thoughts and touch, if you are interested in landscape , you will appreciate it.

This is a great place for diving, beginners and enthusiasts as well. Excellent team, equipment and location. Not to forget the great kitchen delighting every evening with freshly prepared new creations.
