Hôtel du Beffroi

Room was worn out, light was broken, bathroom was dirty & moldy.

The room was comfortable enough but we were a bit surprised that there were no coffee/tea making facilities at a hotel in this price range.

Visiting family. A comfortable stay with the basics met. The staff were friendly and had 24 hr desk so was helpful when checking out really early.

Le Beffroi is a hotel/restaurant mainly designed for business visitors, but fine for couples and families spending a few days visiting this old fortified town and the nearby harbour, beach and fish restaurants. Rooms are very reasonable and, although a tad more expensive, breakfasts are varied and copious. Gravelines also makes a good overnight stop arriving from or returning to England on the Dover-Dunkirk ferry. Breakfasts are served 7/7 but evening meals only Monday to Thursday. There are several decent restaurants in Gravelines but, in season, Petit Fort Phillippe some 3 miles away is a good bet for eating. The Motorway is about 3 miles away and the Belgian frontier about 20 minutes. A couple of pleasant bars on the square. All in all a good introduction to French Flanders and a chance to meet the very friendly locals.

We (family of 4) stayed here before getting the morning ferry from Calais to Dover. The hotel is in a beautiful, small town overlooking the town square. There are a few cafes/restaurants nearby serving good food. The hotel was clean and tidy with friendly staff, I would certainly stay again.

Friendly English speaking staff. Free parking at weekends in the square, but could be an issue in the week. Breakfast 9-10 Euros which is rather expensive. Bath very hazardous when wet as no grab rails, and shower is over the bath. Very pleasant village and 15 mins to Eurotunnel

The area is very quiet with a lot to see and the staff where all very friendly and helpful. Food was excellant. We would defiantly stay here again.

1 night stopover from Calais, less than 30 minutes from eurotunnel. Nice little hotel right in the village square with free overnight parking. We had a quad room (double and 2 singles) perfect for the family. We skipped breakfast though was only 9€. Room was decent, clean and comfortable.

It looked lovely from the outside but was disappointing inside with grubby stair carpets and dingy corridors The decor was in battleship grey and quite depressing There was no tea making facility in the room and the pillows were uncomfortable (seemed to be lumpy and worse for wear) The bathroom was nice though
