Hôtel du Beffroi

This hotel served our family need for an overnight rest before catching an early morning ferry in Calais but also “off motorway” and with a bit of character . It’s on the historic main square, quality bistro restaurant but - be warned - def not “pub grub” and kids menu limited . Rooms and decor dark and worn but mattress /bedding/bathroom/strong shower / kettle all just fine. Staff friendly and efficient . Allow 30 mins drive to Calais dock check in.

Family stay for one night prior to getting the shuttle home. Efficient check in. Condition of room 215 very tired. 4 single beds, thin pillow, bed by the window had debris scattered over it. Was very stong winds that night. No tea or coffee facilities. TV small for the size of the room. Bathroom was clean but shower head bracket was broken and had to hold to shower. Large internal hole in the wall where extractor fan should be. Asked for extra pillows and they were delivered. In general, downstairs bar area is nice and modern, but rooms and corridors very tired. No changes made since 2016. Have stayed each year for stopover.

I only stayed briefly, but it was pleasant and the staff were great.

Excellent place in a nice, small town. Well worth the price. And free parking on the square just outside the hotel (at least over a weekend). Nice lobby and easy check in.

30 degrees in the room overlooking a fun fair. Could not open windows sue to the noise.

They moved us to another hotel 30km away location was fine and hotel wasn’t awful but not what we booked and not in a location we would have chosen! Very disappointed!

We failed to see why this hotel isn't busier as it makes an ideal stop for both European and British visitors

Very pleasant return visit to this hotel which we have stayed in many times. The restaurant was also able to offer me a decent gluten free meal.

Beautiful and unique I hope I can stay again someday.
