Everything was perfect. Staff was very attentive, the building has a lot of character, the room was very nicely decorated. Breakfast included a lot of choice and everything tasted great. The indoor pool was very nice and the jakuzi was a bit small but a lot of fun

Lovely setting and excellent facilities. Private and very secure. Reception staff were excellent.

The staff in the bar and breakfast area were rude with attitude. They refused room service when we were told at reception 24/7. Residents bar closed at 12:00

The hotel is lovely... The rooms were great, as was the spa/ indoor pool. The front of house/ reception staff were wonderful. All of these matched my expectations of a 5 star hotel.

My main issue was the staff at breakfast and room service. Breakfast staff were genuinely rude, questioning that we had ordered correctly when they had got the order wrong. Being told to wait until a server had finished setting tables before she would take our order. They even got a gluten free bread order incorrect, without apology. Also, when we ordered drinks from room service after the bar closed (at midnight), we were told that "no, I will only serve you food, no drinks". Clearly the bar closing @ midnight is less than 5 Star, but a room service waitress deciding who can and can't have a drink after it closes is ridiculous and isn't even three star.

Great property , if you want to close to a town or the center of activity this is not the right location. Good for a weekend getaway from it all.
