Pensão Londres

The location was good, we had a wonderful view over the city, river and bridge, and breakfast was pretty good. The room was quiet, clean and spacious enough. The bathroom was also spacious and clean but the sliding doors were in need of some attention, they either got stuck or came off the rails a few times during our two nights stay.

The room and view was beautiful from this hotel. The location is excellent. Small draw back was the weird smell we encountered at night time. The hotel is very old but renovated and beautiful. The smell may have been as a result of old pipes…. Otherwise we loved it! Stayed on the 4th floor.

My stay at Pensao Londres in Lisbon was incredible, and the hospitality was beyond anything I could have expected. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and perfectly located near all the major attractions. However, it was the staff that truly made my experience unforgettable. I want to give a special shoutout to Alex Anger, who is an incredibly kind and helpful young gentleman. He not only gave me a personalized list of places to visit in Lisbon but also made me feel instantly welcome. His positive energy and calm demeanor, especially when I saw him wearing a rosary in his hand, brought a peaceful vibe to the whole experience. During my stay, we experienced a blackout in Europe, and I was understandably nervous as I had to fly back to New York the next day. Many airports were closed or canceled, but Nunes (I guess thats his name who worked on 04/28th night) made me feel completely at ease. He kept me informed about the situation, offered food and coffee, and checked in on me regularly to ensure I was okay. I was so impressed by his kindness and calm in the face of a challenging situation. What stood out even more was how Nunes helped other guests. He was carrying luggage up to the 4th floor since the escalators weren’t working due to the power outage. He also helped people find their way using a flashlight, ensuring everyone felt taken care of. His dedication and helpfulness went above and beyond — it was a perfect example of what genuine hospitality looks like. Thank you!!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The building is old as well as carpet and elevator.However, room was very clean.

Really great hotel option in the Bairro Alto: superb room and fabulous views

The absolute best thing about this hotel is its stunning views of the entire city and the location. In addition, the reception staff (especially Alex) were so friendly, helpful and a pleasure to work with. However, the entire hotel is under renovation so it was nearly impossible not to run into workers, ladders, plaster or old toilets as I was trying to make my way thru the front door upon check in. I stayed thru all of this entirely because the view from my room was unmatchable. I am sure once the renovations are completed, this hotel will be amazing.

Everything was great, except the fact that the building itself was under construction, which was not mentioned on the hotels page. This took me by surprise especially with the way the entry of the building was looking like. Nevertheless— everything else was great. Amazing location and very convenient.
