Old hotel which was cool. The elevator broke and have to climb lots of stairs to get to room. Ac in in room was very poor. Room was always hot.

Building is too old. Elevator did not work for a day making it so inconvenience for moving the luggage with the injured legs walking up and down the staircase. Shower pressure is weak and had to waited for at least 10 minutes before hot water come out. Bed sheet has stained on it and door could not be completely shut and did not make us feel safe. However, breakfast was decent and is good amenity to have.

This hotel gets some very unfair reviews, but it doesn't pretend to be something that it isn't. Weaknesses? It's a little decrepit (inner lift door partly broken, but lift working fine, balcony distinctly decrepit, and not to be trusted), and it's better to eat out for breakfast, because it's limited. It is also in party-land, so noisy in the earlier part of the evening - and because people can easily access the lobby and staircase, don't leave valuables in the room. Strengths? It IS incredibly well-placed for easy access to a lot of Lisbon's best places. The air-con does work, the fridge worked fine, as long as you left one of the key cards in the slot in the room all day. Linen was clean, bathroom facilities were fine, and a decent breakfast is available across the street (turn left, about 100 metres, opposite side of the road). Our 4th floor room looking onto the main road was light and airy, and because we could shut the windows with the aircon, not noisy at all. Just don't judge it against the 5-star offerings that charge considerably more - provided that you go in with your eyes open, this is a hotel that I would stay in again.

What we don’t like is that, we try to find the property w elevator, we stay 4 nights and the elevator is out of order for 3 nights. It’s very inconvenient when your rooms are on third floor. We have to carry our luggage from3rd floor to downstairs

Very nice classic hotel in the high end area of Barrio Alto. The staff was very friendly to accommodate our needs.

Nice renovated confort room. Some noise from street and commerce close by.

Rommet luktet vondt. Fikk nytt rom som også luktet forferdelig. Frokosten var den tristeste hotellfrokosten jeg har sett. Ellers fint bygg, god takhøyde og fint nabolag.
