The Remington Suite Hotel and Spa

It was a great stay. We stayed in the Millet room. The room was big and nicely furnished. There is construction going on in the building, so it was extrememly loud for most of the day, but did quiet down around 5-6 every day. There are no black out curtains in the room and the blind was broken so it was even brighter than it normally would have been. The room we were in was clean, but needed updated bad. The bathroom was very old with a tub that looked like it was from the 50's and needed a good cleaning. There were marks on the walls where paint and wallpaper needed to be replaced. We also had to turn the AC down to 64 in the front of the sitting room just to get the bed room and bathroom cool, so it was freezing in the front and warmer in the back. The staff was absolutely amazing and helpfull. Overall it was a wonderful stay, we just expected more for the price. Also, the rooms need wine glasses and microwaves (especially the larger suites)

The hotel was great, very cool old building nicely remodeled into a hotel.

Love the old school vibe

This is a wonderful boutique hotel with a great location, in downtown Shreveport, where a warm and friendly staff will greet you. Our Monet art themed room was so lovely. A welcoming, spacious and comfortable suite. There is a very nice bar on the first floor with a wide selection of beverages. We stayed two nights while in Shreveport and will definitely choose this location again. This historic building, established 1841, now has more than 20 art themed suites. Ask the staff about the history of this building and you will enjoy their stories. Your stay here will not disappoint!

The room was amazing.

The Remington is walking distance to the Mudbug Festival.

They had LED strips in the top of the bathroom as “lighting” and it didn’t even work. So no lights in the bathroom, no microwave in the room, the led lights that did work were flickering so if I had epilepsy it could have been an issue. No roof in the bathroom, just open with the fire wayer spicit in arms reach above your head, lights in the ceiling were two different colors. For 300$ a night, it should have been WAY better maintained.

Better than what was expected. Loved the bathroom in the suit. Great room for the rate paid. Definitely will stay again when in town.
