Lagoon Gardens

Fantastic place. The owners Ursula and Richard were wonderful and the staff were lovely. The chef/s are exceptional.

We really enjoy our stay in vila chaumieres. The place it's close to town but in a really quiet and relaxing area. It's beautiful how the room(very private) are immersed in a jungle of flowers. The restaurant was great, we really enjoyed the tropical breakfast, the coffe it's execelent and the fried rice was great too. Ursula, the owner, was really kind and showed us on a map all the beautiful places to suit in efate. We will be back for sure, Pietro and Kana

Wonderful time, the restaurant is the best we found in 2 weeks of travel in Vanuatu. The owners are super helpful and considerate. Small seahorse family around the deck, watch out though those steps are seriously slippery, lovely rooms, the pools is very small and pretty cool but its perfect for a quick cool down. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Nice quiet place to return to after being out and about all day. The owners are helpful, friendly and also knowledgeable about things to do on the island. We didn't like being told as soon as we arrived about $6 a day room charge for air conditioning which we weren't informed about in previous correspondence. Resort is not nestled on a beach nor does it have its own private beach. Outdoor restaurant right on the water is a lovely place to have breakfast. Dietary requirements catered for. Staff efficient and friendly. Swimming Pool is 10 metres long.

What an amazing place settled on one of the lagoons with the famous restaurant that is overwater. The owners and staff are extremely accommodating and generous. We stayed for a week, and ate at the restaurant every evening. Lovely to have a day out and come back to our '2nd home' have dinner and relax for the evening. The rooms facing the lagoon with views and balconys are the pick if you want views otherwise the 'burees/huts' are new and have everything you need and just a few metres from the restaurant and lagoon. we will be back!

my girlfriend and i had a great stay at this vila. we had some problem originally at the airport with my passport and had to forfeit your flight and accommodation. we booked it all in again and luckily enough ursula and richard gave us a refund for our original stay at their place. its a really kind act to do and we thank them for that - our trip wasnt a total loss. ursula was very helpful and knowledgeable about what was happening around town and where to go for all things to do, even the staff had amazing knowledge.

Friendly, attentive service by staff and the owners ate very hands on every day. Food was of a good standard and the restaurant is charming. The gardens are lovely and the property well maintained. Don't stay right in Town, its worth the extra five minutes to be on the lagoon. Very quiet at night and safe.

We really enjoyed our stay here, however,the resort's electricity was not surge protected which broke the majority of our electronics. Our camera memory card and GoPro battery broke early on in the trip so we could not take many photos. Also the card reader (which was brand new) broke as well. I recommend anyone planning on staying here to bring an adaptor/surge protector for your electronic goods. For those that need internet, I do not recommend this resort as the wifi was very slow and only worked closed to the modem.

I had a great stay at this beautiful place right on the edge of a peaceful, beautiful lagoon; slightly out of town but that was good and so easy to get there by inexpensive minibus (just have to remember that the country drives on the right and to take extra care as a pedestrian!). Ursula and all the staff were wonderful - friendly and helpful, getting us started with swimming and kayaking - but giving you space to do you own thing. Having the lovely tropical breakfast every morning on the edge of the lagoon, looking into the shallows to see the many tiny fish and starfish, looking up to see people from the neighbourhood sailing up and down the lagoon, kids playing on the other side ... eating great food in the evening with soft lights spreading over the edge of the lagoon. We had a great time and encourage everyone to try this great place.
