It was in a unique, gorgeous old building, beautifully decorated, very comfortable & with a wood burning fire which was a nice feature. Extensive gardens to explore, lovely rural setting just outside of town but close to walks, cafes& an interesting old pub with lots of local history.

What’s not to like! If you want peace & tranquility in a heritage piece of history in a stunning country setting this is the place for you. So relaxing, Deb thought of everything you could possibly need to self cater if you choose. The cottage was beautifully decorated to create a cozy home away from home. She even had the fire burning when we got there, & on a cold day it was lovely. The bed was lovely & warm too with electric blanket. Deb even baked fresh bread for our arrival. Great value for money too!

Can’t think of anything but we would love to come back in the spring when the obviously manicured gardens are in bloom.

We loved our stay at Old WesleyDale and feel very privileged to have spent three nights somewhere so special. The property is spectacular and steeped in history. The gardens are truly a wonder and can imagine at another time of the year the colour would be striking. The cottage was a treat. Very spacious, well equipped and very comfortable indeed and the decor was just splendid. We enjoyed meeting the owners, Scott and Deb and already have plans to return. Such a memorable stay!
