Heath Cottage Hotel

I have no positive comments to make, this establishment is more akin to a hostel than a bar, restaurant & hotel.

There were no staff in attendance at all. Check in was via telephone, accessing a lock box to obtain a room key and an entry code. The whole experience is impersonal, unpleasant and unwelcoming. There were no meals on offer at all (the phone operator suggested I order a take away). The bar was closed and there was nowhere to get drinks. The bedroom carpet was grubby and stained in parts. The window wouldn't close and traffic noise kept me awake (there was a short living lull at about 01:15). I tried all ways to get the TV to work but there was no signal. The establishment has 'bar', 'restaurant' & 'hotel' displayed on it in several places, it is neither.

Very good value for money. Comfortable rooms. Light breakfast provided which was unexpected.

Radiator in one of the rooms was broken and the heater provided was not adequate. Otherwise good value for money.

Can see its getting done as a new place so what is in it so far looks good.

No iron, parts where dirty ie taps and shower base
