Pelican Beach Hotel

This is a terrific small beach front hotel. You couldn't get any closer to the beach! Very clean and friendly. They were always ready to help with anything you might need as well as tips for things to do on the island. They also have a great restaurant and bar on the property. We would definitely recommend the Pelican Beach Hotel for anyone looking for a place to stay and/or eat on North Caicos.

We spent one week at this property , the hotel is very modest but presents quite well for an hotel at this price point. The property comprises a single storey block of 6 beachfront rooms and a two storey beach hose subdivided into several apartments . Our initial contact was via the checkin which was friendly and efficient . There of course is not any baggage handling .Our apartment was on the ground floor of the beach house and was spacious but modest and sparklingly clean as is the entire hotel . Facilities include a well equipped simple kitchen and better than average connectivity by TCI standards . There were several maintenance issues as a result of normal wear and tear as per any hotel but these were dealt with immediately in a very efficient and professional manner either by repair or replacement. Sleep quality is adequate and noise is non existent. The bathroom reflects the apartment and is quite simple but functional water pressure is adequate as are the towels and toiletries.Externally the property is set in island style grounds with easy access to the beach and some sun loungers , there is also a restaurant/bar which we felt was not very good having been charged almost $70 for two plates of overcooked dry fish with salad , we subsequently found options outside the property which were much cheaper and considerably better both in terms of portion size and quality. In short all reviews should be taken with regard to the reviewers previous experiences which obviously affect their expectations in our case we travel all over the world for six months a year even in the pandemic and stay in a variety of hotels from the very best 5star hotels to cheaper options when nothing else is available and in our opinion pelican beach hotel offers excellent value for money for this type of property in what is a very expensive location for even the most basic accommodation .

There is a lot of fresh paint and Suzie is back in the kitchen and running the motel again and the bar will be open shortly. The apartment is clean and now has a better view of the beach ! On my October visit found a lot of work going on and everyone was in high spirits and looking forward to the season.

Amazing view from your room. Most relaxing place I have ever been. Cliff and Suzie are awesome. Try the Pelican kiss. You never need to leave the area as you have all you need right there. You can even rent a car or a bike from Cliff.

My wife and I are repeat visitors and we're going back again! This place doesn't pretend to offer any resort-type amenities, but they do offer a place away from the crowd where you can relax and take in the ocean sounds/sights just feet away from your front door. Rooms are clean and comfortable (with AC!) and you won't find warmer hosts than Clifford (owner) and his wife, Susan. Chill at the Barracuda Beach Bar and enjoy the stories (there's a lot of them!) and genuine friendship. Excellent value for the money...I'm betting it's the best hotel value in Turks and Caicos!

Stayed 3 nights at the Pelican beach hotel. We had an upstairs 2 bedroom suite right on the corner over looking the beach. Rooms were spacious, with living room & kitchen combo. Beds were comfortable & clean, the air conditioning in the front bed room was slightly inadequate as there is no glass in the louvered doors, but not a deal breaker for me. Breakfast was supposed to be included in the room rate, but on checkout we noticed we were charged for breakfast daily. Not a big deal, just like to know things ahead of time. Checked out the barracuda beach bar at the back of the property, but being low season the woman that usually runs it wasn't there & the young woman that was there seemed to be inconvenienced by customers. Had a beer & left. Not much by way of marine life right off of the beach, but not a bad place to swim. All in all not place, would prob return.

We stayed at a Sandals resort last year in Jamaica and had a great time. We had an equally great time at Pelican Beach, but a totally different experience. I llike some adventure, and really value safety and good hospitalty. North and Middle Caicos offers some spectacular scenery, so a vehicle is needed to tour these islands. At the end of the we were always very happy to return to our clean room, eat deliciuos Carribean stlye meals and chat with the very friendly like-minded poeple at the hotel. People staying here value an authentic Carribean experience, it is affordable, like privacy but still enjoy a good conversation. The laid back slow pace is a great way to spend your vacation.

Stayed for two nights, after staying in provo, this for me was bliss. No tourists, no speed boats etc etc. Rooms were adequate, felt very safe. Very laid back and that's how I feel life should be!! Personally I wouldn't want a TV in my room, the view outside is enough for anyone! Would recommend if you like tranquillity, peace and quite!!

Just back from 2 days. Fantastic time, great hosts, womderful location. Homemade food was top notch. The barracuda bar was small, fun with locals and Made you fell like you belonged. Will be back next year. 1 things bring bug spray for nights . Make sure to visit middle caicos.
