The Fishbourne - Isle of Wight

Warm welcome and as our warm comfortable room was ready, checked us in even though we arrived very early. Beautiful location some lovely walks on the doorstep which is handy to walk off the rather large portions of extremely good food.The staff were all lovely and super helpful with guidance to make the most of our mini break

No hand wash in bathroom

Very easy to find, plenty of parking. Staff were all brilliant, very helpful and friendly. Rooms were really nicely decorated and very comfortable. Great selection of food and drink, breakfast was amazing.

Breakfast was very good on our 2 days. good customer service and nicely cooked fresh food. Perfect poached eggs from a very good chef. Hosts were helpful at getting a type of milk in for me as I am limited to one type. Nice looking pub and B and B. Peaceful in the evenings which I enjoyed. mini Christmas tree in our room a nice touch. Room was clean and tidy and the owner was very friendly and hard working. Useful that we did have a car parking space.

On our third day breakfast cooked nicely as usual but we got placed on a very small table which felt cramped and I did notice 2 new guests were placed on a very large table for their breakfast with a nice view. Our young lady who we not seen before was not that good at listening when we asked for breakfast things. Given wrong order but then it got corrected Struggled in the dark abit to get up or down some steps to parking space. Could do with a bit more lighting by steps.

Great location, nice room, friendly staff and good food

Very good location. Warm welcome. Food and service was superb.

Clean. Spacious. Homely atmosphere.

The fact it was so close to the ferry.

The establishment is incredibly tired and lacking love. Totally understand hospitality has taken a pinch in recent times. But the overall aesthetic is quite sad and run down. From furnishings to the outside space, it looks like it hasn’t received any love in a long time. Staff terribly unhappy, that showed in the service provided. Very skeleton staff too.
