Meadowlea Guest House

The B&B is lovely and well maintained. We had a double with ensuite. The room was very big and the bed was a super king. It was extremely comfortable and very well equipped. It is also well located - we were on our way to Cornwall and it was a perfect stop over. We would definitely use it again. Also they provided a great breakfast including the option to ask for a hot cooked breakfast.

We stayed one night at Meadowlea whilst cycling the Devon Coast to Coast. It is located on a quiet residential road yet close to the town. Route 27 passes the door. Lesley welcomed us, offering a cool drink, as it was a very hot day, and showing where bikes could be left securely. There is a comfortable lounge and breakfast room for residents' use. Our bedroom, No.3, was at the rear, beautifully decorated and furnished with a very comfortable king size bed and everything you could want. The fridge in the breakfast room had fresh milk for us to use in our room and there were tempting biscuits on our hospitality tray. The en suite shower room was excellent, well equipped and spotless. Breakfast was perfect for us. There was fresh fruit plus the usual cereals and cooked breakfasts, including vegetarian items, freshly made to order - the best we have had. Lesley and Mark were excellent hosts who were able to offer advice on where to eat and to make everyone feel welcome. They have clearly taken a great deal of thought and care to offer their guests the best experience they can. We would highly recommend Meadowlea to anyone wishing to stay in the Okehampton area and would definitely stay again ourselves.

Alway's a warm welcome from Mark and Lesley, with good clean and comfy room for the night followed by a good hearty breakfast to set you up for the day.

Really comfortable hotel with warm welcome and a terrific breakfast. We were able to use the fridge and microwave which was a huge bonus to us , as was the wifi. The room was spacious with a huge shower room, and the beds very comfortable with nice quality bedding. Excellent value for money would highly recommend

Excellent hosts who were most welcoming and knowledgeable. The room was clean and comfortable, whilst the food first class. A well run family guest house and highly recommended.

I didnt have the chance to use the guest house to its full potential but what i did use i was very satisfied with.The room was clean, tidy and well presented. I was impressed with the style and confort of the room. The bathroom facilities although shared were very celan and tidy.It is very close to the centre easy to find. Easy parking on the street. I would reccomment this guest house to others staying the in the area.
