Nice staff. Good location for cloud reserve and nice grounds- not really walkable into town

Mixed Experience at the Hotel I recently stayed at this hotel, and while there were some positive aspects, there were also a few disappointments. Towels: The size and quality of the towels left much to be desired. They felt thin and not very absorbent. As someone who appreciates a plush, luxurious towel, I was disappointed. Lighting in the Walkway: The illuminated walkway outside the rooms was a bit bothersome. While I understand the need for safety and visibility, having it lit all night affected the room’s darkness. A good night’s sleep is crucial, and any unnecessary light can disrupt that. It would be great if the hotel could find a balance between safety and guest comfort. Parking Challenges: Uneven terrain is understandable, but the presence of boxes and other obstacles in the parking spots made parking more difficult. I hope the management takes these points into consideration to enhance the guest experience

Clean and friendly employees

We had a very comfortable mountain view room. As expected we had a fantastic view over the cloud forest which we could enjoy from the room with a really large window and comfy chairs. The breakfast was full service and excellent with enough items on the menu to have a different selection every day. We had dinner once and it was also very good at a reasonable price. The hotel is away from the centre of Santa Elena, and the Monteverde cloud forest is 10-15' walk away. It does feel isolated, and it adds to the charm of the place. We organised our excursions beforehand, including transportation. It was easy to get a taxi from town for $14 or so. Excellent stay! We thought a small fridge would be useful.

Trapp Family Lodge was set high up a mountain road on beautiful grounds. I personally loved feeling like I was in the trees. Though the wind made my friend feel like she was in a hurricane. I did not feel the same way. I felt like I was a part of nature. Which I love. The staff were extremely helpful and helped us out a few times when we were looking for rides to some of our booked adventures. I would highly recommend Trapp Family Lodge and would stay there again.

Hotel.had old charm Breakfast foo4 was good Dinner was amazing The area of Monteverde was nice The property of this hotel was ok No gift shop or convenience store At the hotel No outside areas to spend time in other than 1 picnic table The mountain can get extremely windy and cold be prepared Enjoy

Excellent staff, especially Estefan at the front desk. Very friendly and very helpful. Great location near the Cloud Forest Monteverde. Only a 10 min walk. Room showed its age a bit, but was very comfortable and had a great view.
