We absolutely loved our stay at the Red Lion Inn and will definitely be back! We had the best meal there during our entire road trip, enjoyed the kindness of the owner and the team and loved the rooms as they provide what is needed. The building is full of history and positioned right at Stanegate, the Roman communication line/road. Such a jewel to stay and eat!

7:30 latest is a bit early for supper and 8:30 earliest is a bit late for breakfast. For us.

"A really good place to stay, eat and drink."
