Just wanted a stopover on the way from Heathrow to Edinburgh and this was a perfect English countryside experience. The friendly helpful staff, chatty locals and other travellers in the bar for dinner and at breakfast the next morning made for a great stay. And close to Hadrian's Wall and Chester's fort.

No improvement needed here.

The hotel was excellent. Food was delicious and staff were super helpful and went out of their way to accommodate. I would recommend eating here if you are staying. Such a lovely warm and welcoming environment.
