"Staff were lovely and the accommodation and pub delightful"

Very nice pub in pretty village near Hexham. The room was quiet and spacious and well appointed, we had our dog with us and were impressed to have a dog bed and food and water bowls provided.

"A great stay in a proper "inn""

The Red Lion Inn is the real deal as far as "pubs" go, we felt so looked after from the moment we arrived. We were only here for one night but could have easily stayed longer as not only was the pub itself a great place to be (for many hours - the food is amazing), the rooms were spacious and comfortable too. A great base for exploring Hadrian's Wall and surrounds - we'll be back again for sure.

We can't fault this property, we had everything we needed.

"A traditional English pub with great food."

A group of us stayed at The Red Lion, a traditional pub with lovely rooms. We also had dinner and breakfast which were all excellent. The Landlord and Landlady couldn’t have been more helpful and made our short stay very unique and special.
