Great food, Friendly and welcoming staff.

Warm friendly welcome, lovely comfortable room and excellent food (both dinner and breakfast).

Limited parking at the property so had to park further along the street.

A true taste of Northumberland. The owners were among the kindest and most welcoming hosts we have ever met, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Heading home now and felt sad to leave - would prefer to be in the sun at the Red Lion with a pint.

The accommodation was in a nice area. The staff were lovely and friendly. We had an evening meal at the pub which was great and breakfast in the morning which was fantastic. The staff tried to do everything for you.

We booked a dog-friendly room.However, we were put in a room that was not dog-friendly and a third of the size. The woman showing us to the room asked if it was okay, and we said it would do as we knew they were fully booked. It was very small.Therefore, the dog bed had to go in front of the wardrobe as that was the only space. My husband asked the owner about it the next day, but he was told that we hadn't said we had a dog. Not only was this not an option on Booking com. , but you'd assume that by booking a dog- friendly room, that it meant you probably had a dog! 🥴 So, to be told that essentially not being put in the room we'd booked, was our fault was a bit bad. You should be put in the room you booked. This was a real shame as we liked everything about the B&B.

The food was excellent, hosts were friendly and helpful. The pub had a great atmosphere in the evening.

Excellent breakfast and dinner. Lovely food.Comfortable bed and lovely fluffy towels. Andy was very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable about the area. He offered great advice on our journey north when leaving.. Good beer. Well deserving of award for "Best Pub in Northumberland" Would definitely recommend and we will hopefully be back.
