The Nags Head

Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent, had dinner there both nights , service was quick and meals yummy (large portions too). Breakfast was ordered early and delivered with a smile and a chat. The bedroom was comfortable and the shower room was clean. The fan was a great touch.

If I'm nit-picking, there was nowhere to put stuff. The large wardrobe is great if you're staying for a week, but when it's a couple of nights you just need somewhere handy to put your bag. There was only a bedside table one side of the bed, could do with one on both sides.

Great staff, friendly & efficient

Lovely restaurant/hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, in a lovely village which was very quiet overnigh. Would definitely recommend, only stayed for one night but would happily have stayed longer and would definitely return. Rooms not especially large but space and furnishings make the most of the space available and the room we stayed in had a lovely large bed. Evening meal was fantastic and breakfast was equally good, with more than enough choices and offers for second helpings if required. All staff we met during our stay were chatty and friendly. Has it's own car park which is really handy.

Personally I am not a fan of spiral staircases which was the only way to reach the rooms but that was the only complaint I could make.

Good size, comfy clean bed. Was a hot night and the provision of a fan was really appreciated. Staff really helpful with arrival time flexibility

All great. Only minor thing is that the coffee tasted bit stale. Otherwise breakfast tasty and stay was great.
