It had the room I wanted.

It was a ghost town. I didn't see anyone else there. The bar was advertised as opening untill 11.00pm - I didnt see it open ater 6pm. There was no breakfast despite being advertised to be able to buy. there was one staff on reception until 6pm and one cleaner in the morning. Views are spectacular at sunset - great location - Should be called 'The Ghost on the Hill.....

Had to put a chair in my single room. Evening meals were the best value I ever had especially the All you can eat fish themed meal for £13.50 including mussels, prawns, cod, scallops and more

Only the chair not present in the room

Location

the room, shower and bed were tiny, very dated furniture and decor. the breakfast was dry and we went down at 9am. on the 1st night even though we booked a table we queued to go in, then queued 20 mins at the bar to get a drink. Asked for a menu to be told it was mixed grill or steak, no vegetarian option. we went to this hotel 2 years ago and had a lovely meal we feel it has gone down hill.

"Very disappointing"

4.0

A fabulous setting to watch the sun set. It was a clean hotel. Staff were friendly.

When we arrived to check in at the property on Tuesday and the front door was closed. We then had to search around looking for an another way in. The lady who checked us in was pleasant enough, but she informed us that they did not serve food on Mondays or Tuesdays - this had not been made clear on booking. We headed in to Bude and had a fabulous meal at Elements. We went back to the hotel to watch the sunset, unfortunately they had no cider and a very limited choice of white wine. Last orders for the bar was called at 8.30pm! We were asked to fill in a breakfast card and the boxes would be left outside our room in the morning. You were given a choice of bagels, juices, crips and fruit. We did as instructed. On open the boxes there was no juice, I can only imagine Sunday roasts left over meat for the bagel and a bag of crisps (a flavour that we had not selected.)
