"Terrible wifi, Dirty Bathroom"

4.0

We booked a room with private bathroom, but the top part of the wall is open. Next to it is a public bathroom so you can enjoy the sound of other guests taking a shower and doing their business. Of course they can enjoy your sound as well... Wifi almost never worked,. No info provided about the sights in Melaka, but the welcome was warm.In the bathroom we found cigarette butts and a used bandage. Very dissapointing, even for backpackers. Pitty.

"poorly kept place. not worth the money"

Dirty bathroom, dirty windows. Bad wifi. No info about melaka... Nut there is free coffee. Doesnt make it right for me. Nothing for basic shopping nearby. They can not provide basic info about anything, like bus tickets, tours or 3g providers. Poor place

"Personal opinions"

6.0

We walk around finding the hotel with difficulty. The guesthouse is just in front of casa de rio. Entrance is via back door. We took a big loop to the front of the guest house but only found residential housing. No sign of the guest house. We was lucky to be spotted by the owner, Andy. He used his motorcycle to follow us and bring us to the guesthouse. The room was ok. We stayed in a corner room, very big. The place is a little old but we see their effort in maintaining. The location is the best, walking distance to Jonker walk and river. You can also take bus 17 from melaka sentral, where u will stop at the red house.

"A night in Melaka"

6.0

Very nice owner who tried to go looking for me since I was the last guest to arrive that night. He was on a motocycle trying to ask me if I were going to Casa Blanca when I was walking there from the bus stop, but unfortunately I was so trained by my world travel experience not to talk to stranger on the street so I had ignored him completely. About 5 minutes after I had arrived his guest house, he came back and asked me why I had ignored him earlier when he was trying to look for his last guest for that night. I felt bad and told him that I didn't know he was from the hotel and that I never talk to strangers when they ask me where I am going.
