"Brilliant location and service for a short stay in Marrakech"

10.0

In the Medina about 10 mins walk from Jemma el Fna square and the Souk, 15-20 mins walk to Jardin Majorelle. Riad is clean and comfortable and wonderfully managed by Moustapha who couldn't be more friendly or helpful. He's an absolute gem!!

"Very Bad Experience Ever"

2.0

This’s my First time I felt so bad in my country specially when I decided to visit Marrakech Riad Asna particularly it was the most terrible experience from the check in till the end ,were obliged to pay at the time of the check in witch I never experienced in my life ,the WiFi was horrible plus the network was not working ,the breakfast was literally horrible my country is rich of fruits and vegetables I don’t know why was not up to standard the same thing was repeated every day the shower in Leila suite was literally dropping down the staff was not there overall the stay doesn’t worth it the price I will not recommend the place to anyone to be honest so disappointed .

"Not What We Expected"

4.0

First the good points: the food was good, especially breakfast. The staff was also very nice. Now the bad: The rooms were small and cavelike. Our room specifically had bad air circulation, the room was constantly moist. For two of the 5 days we stayed the shower would not become even lukewarm. The “pool” in the pictures here is not what is actually like. The pool was dirty and stagnant. However if anyone did swim in it there would be too much noise since everyone can hear everything that goes on in the whole place. Our door and most of the others don’t close properly. What is even more worrisome is that they can be bolted shut from the outside... Everything is dated and worn, plaster is falling off of the walls. The WiFi is only available in the common area and will not reach the rooms on the bottom floor. (A warning: if you stay here you will be dropped off about a two minute walk from the Riad as cars cannot make it to the exact location. People will immediately ask what Riad you are going to upon exiting your cab. It will seem like it’s a service associated with the Riad but don’t be fooled it is not. They will place your luggage in a cart and take you to the Riad, once there they will ask for a ridiculous amount of payment.)

"Authentic riad with a cozy feeling of belonging"

10.0

This riad is a small, low key and non-flashy place! But very, very authentic. Mohammed who managed the place will do almost anything to make his guests happy and gave us the feeling as if we were not mere guests but friends. Despite cold weather (by Marrakech standards) he served us breakfast on the rooftop every morning. And dinner on the first evening. He also gave us useful tips when needed. The location is superb, the place is very clean and reasonably priced. We can recommend this riad strongly to people looking for a friendly, authentic and down-to-earth place for their stay in Marrakech!

"Buyer Beware"

2.0

We are seasoned travels, not complainers -- we have trekked /cycled all over the world slept in caves & local hostels. All ok as long as we know what to expect but the write up for Riad Asna was total fabrication -- no indoor outdoor pool, no restaurant or 24/7 service -- old, dirty, tiles missing, coffin like sleeping spaces -- no service we were alone all week -- yet Bookings.com kept saying two rooms just rented -- last one hurry!! RE Ryanair -- the less said the better.

"AWFUL!!!"

2.0

It was an awful experience!! We have traveled for years, slept in caves, stilt house and even a tree platform in Africa -- but in each case we knew what to expect. Riad Asna is billed as something it is not. On Bookings.com it said: indoor and outdoor pool, 24/7 service, restaurant, WIFI etc.. In reality there was one small very decrepit pool inside with tiles missing and rather dirty, there was NO service at all -- in fact we were often in the place by ourselves. The bedding was absolutely positively not fresh and No restaurant or WIFI-- breakfast was coffee, juice, jam a some stale bread and a single crepe. We understood it was Eid but then they should either close or offer half price. We left two days early, which we had to pay for anyway and then insult to injury were charged double what we paid elsewhere for a coke and a juice on our way out!! NOT a great experience to say the least. And even though the place was empty the listing kept saying "last room" and "just booked three rooms" ?? Not sure how that was possible. It may have been ok for half the price and if it had been billed as modest.

An oasis in the hectic medina. The small plunge pool is the perfect cherry on this dessert of a hotel. Difficult to find, even with google maps and maps.me.

"A lovely Oasis in the midst of the busy Medina"

8.0

Riad Asna is a lovely, quiet hotel set in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the Medina of Marrakech. It was so nice to come back to the Riad after being out in the busy souks and relax. Veronique is the lovely owner of the Riad who is very helpful. She arranged our transfer from the bus station and to the train station. She also had lots of info for us about the area. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was really great. All in all, a great experience and I would definitely stay at Riad Asna again.

"The most wonderful riad with wonderful people!"

10.0

If you're looking for place that is as wonderful as the people that run it, this is the place for you! We felt completely and utterly welcome at this riad and we were very welcome to use all the facilities as we pleased. Veronique was away but we were looked after by Lamiya who on the first night invited us to have dinner with her and her friends - which we absolutely adored! The room was a brilliant size and beds were made everyday. The plunge pool is just the right size for a dip after wandering around in 40 degree heat and our favourite part, was hanging out on the roof terrace with Dave the tortoise(s) in the mornings and evenings. The riad is a total dream, it is located just off a side street near a busy market street. It is the perfect retreat. Once in the riad, you feel as far away as can be from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. We absolutely loved the separation and retreat of riad asna away from the sometimes stressful streets of Morocco. We will recommend this place to everyone and are sure to be back sometime in the future!
