Schlosspark Mauerbach - Adults only

Quiet location- great for walks and hikes in the forest. Food was good: breakfast, afternoon snack and dinner. The view from the restaurant with glass walls overlooking the garden/trees was fantastic. The spa treatment was good.

My room had dust and fluff in the corners and several insects (both dead -on the floor- and alive). When I closed the curtains to go to sleep I discovered dozens of ladybugs sitting on the top of the curtains and they started flying around the room. I called reception and they offered me another room- same category. I had to pack everything in the middle of the night and move to the other room. There was no compensation for the trouble. Crowded spa area. Day staff at the reception were rather unfriendly.

Saunas were great, area was green and nature was beautiful. We enjoyed little afternoon snack bar. The room was beautiful as well and beds were comfortable. The best was sauna with window to the forest, so romantic!

Our room was not clean (dust on decorative vases and surfaces, some nut shells on the floor). One of the bathrobes had a brown stain around back area... Horrifying during romantic anniversary weekend to be honest. Shower made funny noises (rusty inside may be?). Dinner was romantic, but food was average for such a fancy location. All in all, it's ok, but we paid too much for value we got and have very mixed emotions (not just romantic memories), which is a shame.
