Red Lion Hotel

The room was spacious and very tastefully decorated. A super large bed which was very comfortable and lots of extra cushions. The bathroom and shower was excellent, plus it was great to have the convenience of a a mini-bar and an up to date 'Nespresso' Coffee machine. All staff were friendly and helpful. We arranged for room service at Breakfast which was done without fuss. The car park was also a bonus to us.

It was a shame that there were no biscuits on arrival after we had been travelling some distance. A small red wine would have been a good addition to the range available as part of the mini-bar.

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Lion Hotel (2 nights) and were extremely satisfied with everything. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The pub was fantastic, offering a great atmosphere and a wide selection of drinks. We also really enjoyed the restaurant – the food was delicious and well prepared. Breakfast in the morning was another highlight and gave us a great start to the day. What truly stood out, however, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help – it really made a difference. The hotel is also very dog-friendly. Sadly, our dog passed away shortly before our trip, but we are certain she would have absolutely loved staying here. The location is perfect as a base for visiting the WB Studios, which made our trip even more enjoyable. A big thank you to the entire Red Lion team – you are doing an amazing job!
