Hotel De Normandie

Good position, close to slipway & beach & diners.

Good sized room with huge bed. Walking distance to town centre. Only complaint was no fridge in room.

We used the lift. Our room was tucked out of the way. We had to go down 6 steps and then up another 3. We have a young child in a buggy. So bad. The curtain weren’t hung properly.

It is a bit of a walk to town, but the bus system is good and the stops very close. Breakfast is good and the rooms are adequate, although the safe is tiny and the places to work on a laptop are limited to 1 person. It can be a bit noisy with traffic, plumbing and people walking one floor above.

4 night Spring break! Hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient (15 minute walk into town through the lovely Howard Park)! My room was a bit noisy first night near to some sort of droning machinery but Management moved me to a wonderful, spacious triple room with a sea view! Wonderful! Wasn’t expecting breakfast with my deal, but the marvellous buffet selection was included! The staff were excellent! Recommended! 😎👍

Excellent location to the beach, room was clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful and it’s conveniently located near restaurants and pubs

Staff were excellent. Breakfast was very nice. Rooms were horrendous, bed was comfortable, filthy carpet, shower cubicle is fine if you are a very small person & children, the power from shower is non existent. Hotel certainly needs a lot of money spent on it being modernised. Hotel is in a prime location but very noisy at 5am with bin lorries. I was with a party of eleven people and we all said we wouldn't go back.

Perfect location, friendly team all so helpful and lovely. Excellent breakfast, delicious dining options available for dinner. Would highly recommend this delightful hotel.

The hotel was great - super friendly and helpful staff with a really good breakfast. I think the rooms are going through a bit of an update, but the beds were super comfy
