Good location, generally clean. Has an amazing view of the lake.

they gave us two normal premier lake view rooms and charged for heritage lake view room. Certain portions of the compound smelled stinky due to sewage. The breakfast spread is just about average, not worth 5 star rating.

I had a wonderful stay at The Leela Ashtamudi, A Raviz Hotel in Kollam. The property is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the lake that create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout the stay. The room was spacious, clean, and very well-maintained, with a beautiful view that made waking up each morning special. The attention to detail in the interiors and comfort level was excellent. The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a good mix of local Kerala dishes and international options. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the staff ensured that items were replenished promptly. The dinner experience was equally enjoyable, with delicious food and a great ambiance by the waterfront. The quality and taste of the dishes stood out, making it a memorable dining experience. What I liked most was the calm environment, courteous staff, and the overall luxury feel of the property. It’s a perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature without compromising on comfort. Overall, a fantastic stay—I would definitely recommend it and look forward to visiting again.

One downside during the stay was the disturbance caused by a political event taking place at the property. A national-level BJP leader was attending a program, which brought in a large crowd and significantly increased noise levels. This affected the otherwise calm and peaceful atmosphere of the hotel, especially in common areas and during certain times of the day. It would have been better if guests were informed in advance or if arrangements were made to minimize disruption for other visitors. While this was likely a one-off situation, it did impact the overall relaxation experience.

Breakfast spread was excellent and even hotel staff offered to provide Poori even though it was not part of the buffet that day. Location and ambience around the hotel due to lake is excellent . Great hospitality and room service.

Food menu was average. Because of shortage of LPG they have reduced menu which was ok but they were offering all types of omelette but not Dosas (why such discrimination?) Also we gave a saree for Dry Cleaning and we received the same next day but we didn’t checked it there (maybe we have trust on them) but when we checked it later we find a big cut in the saree and they have done hot ironing which damaged the saree. This was not expected. Also during the meals some staffs were good but some were really dull and there was no clarity tha what is the menu and what is there in live counter. Rest other things like stay and boat ride were good.
