The Old Post Office

the room was clean and comfortable. the staff were friendly and helpful. it was close to town centre and transport. I had a lovely time and would definitely recommend it.

Great friendly staff

We were quite disappointed with the room no hairdryer. The towels were so stiff and creased you could have stood them up grubby looking to. The radiator did not work the heated towel rail leaked the man did come and sort them out but we had to go down 3 lots of stairs to tell the staff then the outdoor key did not work so had to go all the way round to the other entrance to the bar to tell them don't think I would stay there again!

Used this hotel as a base for recent tour of West Yorkshire. Facilities are basic but the rooms are inexpensive so you get what you pay for. Bathrooms don't have shaver sockets and they don't do breakfast, however there are plenty of café bars in the nearby Victorian arcades. If you are an early to bed type it's not for you, as there is a disco most weekends. The bar does real ale which I found to be good quality. The hotel is only a five minute walk from Halifax station which has services to and from London King's Cross.

its a friendly place,staff very nice though the girl who checked me in didnt really acknowledge the fact it lists a private bathroom ,just said the price i paid was for this room,which didnt have one ,smallest room ive ever stayed in though,and contrarary to what was listed ,no private bathroom,no dvd,the lamp by the bed wasnt long enough to plug into the power socket,no light in the corridor at my end of it so it was pitch black trying to get your key in the door,it was very clean and bed was comfortable but once again i have to say very disappointed not having a shower and toilet in the room.its clean and cheap so ok for one night,toilet and shower in corridor but with no light dangerous to find either in the night
