NZWe have been going to Commodores Lodge for many, many years, taking overseas visitors to enjoy - it is always a lovely central space to chill away from the main street of Russell. The units are well equipped and the facilities, including laundry, BBQ, and kayaks really add to the convienence of the place. We enjoy the sociable atmosphere with neighbouring units - everyone stops for a chat and it is great to hear everyone's adventures for the day.
We stayed in Unit 4 - 2nd bedroom a bit small - fine for children but not so good for adults with luggage.

NZLocation could not be better. Very tidy rooms and facilities. Kitchenette even in studio.
Parking a little hit and miss. Rooms not serviced for “short stay” although what that means is not specified.
NZI stayed in the poolside view room, but also had friends in the waterfront room-- which was an absolutely exceptional feature. The size of the rooms were great and appropriate for the cost of the rooms, with the bedroom being seperate a great feature. Very helpful and accomodating staff and truly the best location possible in town.
Nothing major, but it would have been nice to have some basic cooking items such as oil given there was a kitchenette.
NZGreat location in the centre of town. Room was lovely and clean with plenty of space. The pool was an added bonus to unwind after a day at the beach.
